Bannerghatta Safari Animals

On a recent visit to Bannerghatta national park, near Bangalore, we went on the “safari”. It would be quite a misnomer to call it a safari. Not only do you have to travel in a noisy van packed with unruly “tourists”, the animals are all dazed and look unhappy. The nature walk through the park trails was “not available” and we had no choice but to choose the safari. It was quite hard to get a decent picture of the animals through the van’s grilled windows but here are a few that I managed:

Sambar deer (Rusa unicolor):
